{the reading group} before we begin

SLI collage

I'm so looking forward to launching into So Long, Insecurity in two weeks! I hope you've managed to get your hands on the book, but just in case your copy is a little slow in arriving, you can read the first chapter here. Remember, all are welcome to join in - even those who don't necessarily feel they struggle with insecurity.

What’s the plan?
The girls over at the LPM blog went through the 18 chapters in 9 weeks, so I thought we'd do the same - using Beth's questions to engage our hearts and minds. As always, I do hope you'll participate, but there is absolutely no pressure. This is a resource to bless you, not to be a burden!

So, to the practicalities...
As before, each Thursday morning (UK time!) starting from the 1st of July, I'll set up a blog post titled {So Long Insecurity} and the appropriate week number. You can respond to questions in the comments section anytime convenient before the next Thursday. Once you’ve posted your reflections on the chapter, please feel free to respond (graciously and sensitively) to one another’s observations.

If you're new to the world of blogging, don’t panic and please don’t let that put you off participating. It isn’t complicated. There’s a little tutorial to help make things run smoothly over here… Any questions? Don't hesitate to get in touch with me. By the way, see that daisy on the sidebar that says 'So Long, Insecurity: The Reading Group' on it? Click on it, and it will take you to a menu of SLI-related posts.

Before we begin...
Beth suggests "Write a journal-type entry on the inside cover of your book describing this present season of your life and why you’ve chosen to read a book like this. If you already have a relationship with God, write it in the form of a prayer."

Ladies, we don't just want to read this book, let's allow this to really impact our lives. Looking forward to growing in wholeness in Christ with you! See you on the 1st of July...
