World AIDS Day is coming up on Saturday (Dec 1). Let's not only make this a day of awareness, but of action too.1) WorldVision's If Not NOW, When? Campaign
8000 people die every day from AIDS-related illnesses, a preventable tragedy and injustice. World leaders – including Britain's Prime Minister – promised to end this, committing to achieve Universal Access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support by 2010.But this promise is being broken. Only 1 in 7 children can access the drugs they need to stay alive and just 11 percent of pregnant women with HIV have access to services to prevent mother-to-child transmission
2) Show Hope Positive at your place of work, school, or church.
3) Raise awareness of HIV and AIDS in your area. Make sure that you are informed first!
4) Wear a red ribbon - it's a conversation starter.
5) Think you might be at risk? Get yourself tested. Take friends, and get tested together.
6) Raise money for a HIV charity or clinic (local or abroad).
7) Pray! The needs are overwhelming, but prayer moves mountains!
